The Panthers is a competitive youth tackle football program proudly serving athletes from Downers Grove and the surrounding communities. Built on skill development, teamwork, and competitive excellence, our program gives young athletes the opportunity to grow both on and off the field.

In addition to our tackle program, we offer a developmental flag football division for children ages 5–7, providing a fun, high-energy introduction to the game while teaching core football fundamentals.

Panthers teams compete in a travel league against programs throughout the Chicago suburbs and are proud members of the Bill George Youth Football League (BGYFL), the governing organization that oversees league play, rules, and competition for both tackle and flag football. Our home field is Doerhoefer Park in Downers Grove, where Panther pride comes to life every season.

Age requirements:

Tackle football players must be between 7-14 years old by August 1st of the current year.

Flag football players must be 5-7 years old by August 1st of the current year. For safety concerns, BGYFL requires that 7 year-olds that weigh over 70 lbs are required to play 8U tackle football.

Girls flag football must be in 5th-8th grade in the current year.
