Panthers is a competitive tackle football program open to athletes who live in Downers Grove and surrounding areas. We also offer a flag football program for children aged 5-7 yrs old. The Panthers program is a travel league, with opponents in the Chicago suburbs. We are members of the Bill George Youth Football League (BGYFL). BGYFL serves as the governing body for all levels of tackle and flag football including rules, regulations, and league play. Our home field is Doerhoefer Park in Downers Grove.

The Panthers program focuses on developing the fundamentals of football, through teamwork and sportsmanship. Everyone is welcome to play. Tackle football players are placed on a team based on age, weight, and ability after the first week of practice.

Age requirements:

Tackle football players must be between 7-14 years old by August 1st of the current year.

Flag football players must be 5-7 years old by August 1st of the current year. For safety concerns BGYFL requires that 7 year-olds that weigh over 70 lbs are required to play 8U tackle football.
